The lift was destroyed about 1985 by an avalanche which blew away the downhill station. The rest of which can be seen until today near and inside the new station. The last was concstructed like a buker to be safe for the future. The first pylone was set out of use, which is the reason, why the lift goes this far without pilone and this igh abouve the ground.
