The lift had wooden pillars, until it was completely rebuilt in 1968 by Doppelmayr. Ran parallel to Osthangbahn, valley station was at the end of the flat way of the blue ski trail no. 50 and ended at the point, where the funslope exists today. Until the breakdown of the Osthanglift T-bar the mountain station was a massive building for bothe T-bars. Due to the reconstruction of the Osthangbahn in 1995, the lift received a new pylon (No. 4). In the summer of 2000, the old station building was demolished (due to the new drive system) and replaced with a steel frame. As part of this, the lift was shortened by a few meters and received a new pylon in the exit area. The lift was removed in 2006 when the new Galzigbahn was built because it was mistakenly thought that this lift was superfluous given the Galzigbahn’s transport capacity, but unfortunately this is not the case. |
